Products
Our BELCOTEX® product family includes textile high temperature resistant staple fibers, yarns and plied yarns.
BELCOTEX® fibers are continuously drawn from a SiO2 rich melt via melt spinning and transformed via chemical reaction into an amorphous polysilicic acid.
The chemical compound obtained thereby is called SIALOXOL, described by the chemical formula: AlO1.5@18[(SiO2)0.6(SiO1.5OH)0.4].
The material class of SIALOXOL polysilicic acids developed by our company was named SILEX®. SILEX® is the Latin term commonly used for silicid acid (SiO2 · n H2O) derived compounds.
